Philip, better known by his DJ name – DJ Phil, entered the DJ scene in the early 2000s. Intrigued with the opportunity to make people dance, he developed into a DJ that can entertain any crowd. Having grown up on his father's eclectic combination of music, DJ Philo has embraced the musical diversity and worked his way into the local community as a well-rounded DJ. He credits much of his development to the continued observation and working with other DJs.

He has been nominated as one of the Top private event DJs and has won several awards like the African Young Achievers DJ of the Year Award in 2018. He attributes this success to his passion for using music as a means of therapy. Once the music hits you, you feel no pain.
